Each episode delves into how Xavier has influenced their lives and careers and explores how they give back to their alma mater and communities, embodying the mission of Xavier. Jamya Stewart

Jamya Stewart is a Psychology major with a minor in Mass Communication at 91Թ, proudly representing the South Side of Chicago, IL. As a new host of the Xavier Gold Live Podcast, Jamya brings her bold, outspoken energy to the mic, aiming to build authentic connections with Xavier alumni and spotlight stories that inspire. 

On campus, Jamya is a dedicated member of the Student Government Association and the Chicago Club, where she advocates for first-generation college students. She’s passionate about bridging the gap between students and alumni—especially those who share the experience of being the first in their families to pursue higher education. 

Every summer since she was 14, Jamya has worked at a daycare and continues to give back by volunteering with her former after-school program, MetroSquash. She’s also actively involved in her church’s Youth Sunday services, where she supports and engages with youth on their spiritual journey. Outside of her commitments, Jamya enjoys reading, trying new foods, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. 

Amaya Sanford is a Mass Communication major with a minor in Political Science at 91Թ, hailing from the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia. As a student leader and host of the Xavier Gold Live Podcast, she brings a unique blend of storytelling, media savvy, and critical thinking to every episode. Beyond the mic, she is a dedicated student-athlete on Xavier’s Women’s Track and Field team and an active force in campus leadership. She serves as the Social Media Chair for both the Association of Student Athletes and the ATL Club, where she crafts engaging content that connects students and builds community. She is also a member of the Peer Dean Association and has played a key role in contributing to her Class Council’s PR team. 

With aspirations to attend law school, Amaya plans to pursue a career in Sports Law and Sports Broadcasting by blending her love for athletics, media, and advocacy into a powerful professional path. Through her many roles, she continues to amplify student voices and embody the spirit of Xavier excellence. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends!
